BCS Projection/Analysis Week 10

This was originally posted on Orangebloods.com "Inside the 40 Acres" and Hornfans.com "On the Field," so it obviously focuses on the BCS from the perspective of Texas fans.

Noteworthy BCS forecasts...

- 2004: Correctly predicted Texas would leapfrog Cal due to computer ranking trends, but also composed a detailed defense of the facts on why there was no "bias" against Cal

- 2006: Correctly predicted Boise State and Notre Dame were highly likely to garner BCS bids at large bids more than a month before the final BCS standings.

- 2008: A mixed bag: my initial Saturday night forecast was incorrect (ouch), but I later published (immediately after the release of Sagarin, 10 hours before the final BCS was announced) that Oklahoma was more likely to edge out Texas in the controversial end to the 2008 regular season.

- 2009: Despite Iowa's loss late in the season, projected the Hawkeyes would be a likely at-large candidate before most other media outlets gravitated to such a view
